A few common reasons for needing dentures include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Severe tooth decay that has caused irreparable damage to teeth<\/li><li>Periodontitis, an advanced stage of gum disease that causes gum recession and can result in tooth loss<\/li><li>Poor nutrition that has contributed to lackluster oral health<\/li><li>Teeth grinding (bruxism) or other physical trauma to teeth<\/li><li>Other health conditions such as diabetes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that dentures aren\u2019t always necessary when patients have missing teeth. If a patient is only missing one or a couple of pearly whites, a bridge might also be a recommended option, or even a dental implant if their jawbone density is sufficient.
