2021 is finally here, and you’ve been waiting patiently for quite a while. In addition to all of the exciting things in store for the year, as well as implementing some new resolutions, you should consider giving your dentist in Houston a call to set up your dental checkup. Having this fresh start is a great time to take steps to better yourself, and that includes your oral health. Now that the new year has arrived, there’s no better time to schedule an appointment. Continue reading to learn why.

Maximize Your Dental Benefits

If you have a dental insurance plan through your workplace or elsewhere, you probably know that your benefits restart at the beginning of the calendar year. Now that 2021 is here, you are responsible for paying your deductible again. The good news is that when you reach this dollar amount, you won’t need to worry about paying it again until next year. This is especially beneficial if you have multiple dependents on your insurance plan. No one wants to end up with unnecessary surprises later in the year.

Early Prevention

In order to set yourself up for success for the rest of the year, seeing your dentist at the beginning is a great start. This way, any existing tooth decay, gum inflammation, and other oral health issues can be addressed and treated at the beginning. You don’t want to be worrying about dental problems worsening as the year goes on, and you know that all of the sweets you had this holiday season weren’t so great for your smile. There is no good reason to go forward in the year with a smile that is anything other than healthy!

More Availability

Your fresh calendar may look empty now, but we all know that won’t last very long. Soon, all the blank spaces will be filling up with all sorts of appointments, events, and meetings. It will become more difficult for you to squeeze in other activities. The same thing goes for your dental office. When you call early on, you will have more options and be more likely to find a day and time that works for your schedule the best. You don’t want to end up putting it off and even forgetting about it. The early bird gets the worm!

On your list of New Year’s resolutions for 2021, don’t forget to remind yourself to stay on track with regular dental checkups. This way, you can start out the year with a strong, healthy smile!
